TWRP Touch Recovery For Kindle Fire 2011 - How To Install - Tutorial

TWRP developer team recently rolled out TWRP Touch Recovery for various Android devices including Kindle Fire 2011. This new recovery comes with various improvement as well as new features that we will list out later part of this article. If you planing to flash an Android 4.4.2 KitKat based ROM on your device then you must install this latest TWRP Touch Recovery. TWRP Touch Recovery
Warning: This tutorial is only for Kindle Fire 2011. Don’t try this guide on any other Android device. Pre Requisites:

Though installing TWRP recovery don’t erase internal memory data but we recommend to back up your data first before proceeding to avoid any uncomfortable situation.

1. Although not required but you should backup your device data to avoid uncomfortable situation. You can follow our ultimate backup guide.

2. Make sure your device have at least 60% battery power. If your phone shut down during rooting then there is good chance to brick your device.You can install an app like Battery Notifier BT Free on your Android device to check it easily

3. You already have USB Driver Installed for Kindle Fire 2011 in your PC. [Download USB Drivers]

4. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled otherwise you won’t able to transfer file between PC and Kindle Fire 2011. [Guide]

5. Your device is rooted (don't require if you upgrading). [Guide]

How to Install TWRP Touch Recovery on Kindle Fire 2011

  1. Transfer openrecovery-twrp- file to your device SD Card.
  2. For Recovery Tools – Flasher User:
    1. Open then app then tap on Flash other Recovery
    2. Now select your copied file (i.e. openrecovery-twrp- and follow onscreen instruction.
  3. For Flashify Users:
    1. Open the app and then tap on Recovery image.
    2. Now select your copied file (i.e. openrecovery-twrp- and follow onscreen instruction.
Congrats ! You have successfully installed the TWRP Touch Recovery on Kindle Fire 2011 and you are now free to test latest Android 4.4 KitKat based ROMs as well as old ROMs on your Kindle Fire 2011. To boot into recovery, first turn of your device and then turn on your device and during bootloader splash screen (blue Kindle logo), press Power repeatedly to open boot menu and move selection from Normal Boot to Recovery.
