Benefits of Rooting Android Devices - Phone / Tablet / Camera / Watch etc.

I do already written many rooting procedure but many wonder what’s that and what the benefits or advantages of it. That's the reason behind this article. Before taking on various advantages of rooting, first check out some disadvantages.  Two disadvantage of it is – one, your device warranty will be void (you can get it back by restoring back to original firmware usually but not always; especially if you trip Knox counter) and next you may no longer receive official firmware update through traditional way, however you can always flash it manually.

Root is one of the most used term in Android ecosystem. You already seen various rooting article for your favorite devices at Android Pulp and today I'm going to discuss various benefits of it.

Install Root Only Apps: The first benefits I like to point out, the ability to install root only app. You probably already seen many apps in Google Play Store that only work when you have a rooted Android device. Most of these apps are pretty useful and necessary in various circumstances. For example Titanium Backup is a fantastic app that can backup your whole device data that otherwise not possible. Another app called SetCPU will automatically control the CPU usage of your device, vastly increasing its battery life. You may find many such apps, themes and customization that can only work when you have a rooted Android device.

Custom ROMs: Custom ROM is something that make Android more interesting as well as attractive to its users. Not only high-end and famous devices receive various custom ROMs that eventually offer a better Android version than OEM offer but there are also developer who spending there time to port those ROMs to low end devices. With the help of custom ROM you can enjoy several customization, functions and unique user interface. Most latest version of custom ROM comes with root but there are sometimes when you do require to root it manually. Once you actiavte root, you will enjoy various root only feature that your installed ROM offer.

Access System Files: You most likely already knew that by default all manufacture restrict user from accessing system files. You can eliminate that restriction by rooting it. Once rooted, you can access system files and get full control on your device. You can even remove bloatware (manufacturer only apps), tweak system file for better performance and much more. Taking a complete control over your Android device allow you to edit core files, install new themes, execute commands, and perform all sorts of other special tasks.

Install apps on your SD Card: Generally Android device comes with limited amount of inbuilt space that ultimately allow you to install limited number of apps, at least if you own some old Android smartphone. It will be good idea to use your SD card space for installing apps but by default Android build prevent you to do that. However, on rooted device, it’s possible to install apps on your SD card with the help of various MOD and apps, which means more space for your important files or big games.

Easy Custom Recovery Installation: Custom recovery is a very important part of Android, specially when you want to install custom ROMs and MODs. There are many ways to install custom recovery but the easiest way is through ROM Manager or GooManager. And both this app require a rooted smartphone to perform.
